Artist Profile

Li Jia Hui is a fashion designer and founder of LIMYU, a premium occasion wear label rooted in heritage craftsmanship and thoughtful making. Her practice combines traditional techniques, including handcrafted Nanjing silk velvet flowers, with textile storytelling and an Impressionist-inspired aesthetic. Through her work, she explores themes of connection, identity, and cultural heritage.

Inspiration Behind the Design

"Thusy" is inspired by the legend of Chang'e and the immortal osmanthus tree that blooms eternally in the Moon Palace. Combining osmanthus symbolism with the traditional Ronghua velvet flower technique, the design celebrates heritage craftsmanship and seasonal beauty. Hand-twisted floral details create a poetic interpretation of transformation, continuity, and the enduring connection between mythology and nature.
