Raymond started with the idea of using dots to create a colorful effect across the rabbit. As he worked, Singapore’s skyline began to emerge, and he added familiar buildings and architectural details amongst the dots.

Singapore’s cityscape has always been something Raymond enjoy painting. He is interested in the shapes and character of its buildings, and how the city continues to change over time. Here, the skyline becomes part of a lively field of colour, dots and patterns, bringing together a familiar view of Singapore with a more playful way of painting it.

The ideas came naturally as Raymond worked, one dot, building and detail leading to the next, until the whole rabbit became a colorful impression of the city.
