Ocean Titans of Reef by Rajendran Thilak Laxman is inspired by nature documentaries on television, the artist presents a colossal two-legged Ocean Titan, towering from the seabed to the clouds above. Various shades of blue depict the ocean and sky, while black paint is used on Titan to accentuate its imposing presence. Surrounded by bubbles, the solitary Titan challenges the viewer to consider the nature of its existence, straddling the ocean and the sky.

About Rajendran Thilak Laxman

Rajendran Thilak Laxman enjoys using watercolours and acrylic paints to express his emotions. An avid fan of National Geographic Wild, he is interested in the natural world and often features animals and the environment in his artworks. His artworks have been showcased at the Singapore Youth Festival 2018 Art Exhibition, and received a Certificate from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth for his artwork Our Animals.
