About Wesley Seah
Wesley was born sighted and enjoyed a thriving business as a head-hunter. Out of the blue though, a rare condition of glaucoma struck and his sight started deteriorating, leaving him completely blind in one eye and limited vision in the other. Despite the abrupt challenges in his life, Wesley maintains a positive outlook and is Head of Quality Assurance at Dialogue in the Dark. In 2015, he had the opportunity to explore the art of Chinese Ink painting and found it a therapeutic medium to express his thoughts. Through countless hours of training and practice, including taking up courses at LASALLE College of the Arts, Wesley honed his style and is able to depict energy and movement through simple strokes. At ART:DIS, he was encouraged to expand his portfolio to include colour and explore other mediums such as acrylic.
