Li Hongyi and Wang Yurui are fashion design students who enjoy transforming cultural narratives into contemporary fashion concepts. Their practice explores silhouette development, textile selection, and garment construction through experimentation and craftsmanship. By combining traditional inspirations with modern design approaches, they create works that celebrate heritage while remaining relevant to contemporary audiences.

Inspiration Behind the Design

"Moon Cloud" captures the peaceful beauty of a Mid-Autumn night through rich blue velvet, traditional cloud motifs, and luminous pearl embellishments. The design evokes drifting clouds embracing the full moon, with pearls symbolising moonlight filtering through the night sky. The rabbit embodies serenity, elegance, and the poetic charm of traditional Eastern imagery associated with the festival.
