Artist Profile

Joe Le Quoc Huy and Gavyn Ong Ding Hong are designers who combine digital craftsmanship, 3D modelling, and traditional making techniques to develop innovative design solutions. Their collaborative practice explores how technology and craftsmanship can complement one another to create contemporary works across jewellery and product design, resulting in distinctive pieces that balance creativity, functionality, and artistic expression.

Inspiration Behind the Design

"Jade Warrior's Sojourning" draws inspiration from the selflessness and sacrifice associated with the Jade Rabbit legend. Adorned in blue-silver armour with striking red tassels, the rabbit is reimagined as a noble guardian preserving Mid-Autumn traditions. The lantern serves as a beacon of remembrance and guidance, while the contrasting colours symbolise courage, protection, and cultural continuity across generations.
