I and the Water

This painting is agonising for 'I'. Water, seemingly to nourish, is drowning 'I' as he/she sputters and struggles to take a breath. Referencing televised documentaries such as "The New Hire" and Vincent Van Gogh's biography, Amelia aims to illustrate the personal journeys of individuals with disabilities, especially challenges in their mental/emotional states.

Amelia is a Visual Artist and Illustrator whose work delves into the captivating interplay between light and dark. Her artistic journey began with a diploma in Animation & Visual Effects from Nanyang Polytechnic, where she cultivated her distinctive perspective through both traditional and digital media. Amelia's notable projects include her most recent commission for the Marina Bay Countdown Projection on Fullerton Hotel, commissioned designs for Bank of Singapore's 2024 Chinese New Year red packets, and LiHO.
