About Hugh Lee
Hugh Lee is an artist whose practice draws from a fascination with train tunnels and transit spaces. His works are marked by bold colour choices and strong visual immediacy, translating focused interests into distinctive compositions. Hugh approaches art-making with determination, using drawing to organise observation and curiosity. In 2018, he received the Lee Kuan Yew Exemplary Student Award in recognition of academic, sporting, and artistic achievements. He continues to develop his artistic practice with resilience and focus. Hugh is an artist with autism spectrum disorder, and explores art as a means of expression, structure, and sustained engagement.
