Wu Yuxuan and Huang Xin Yi are fashion designers whose practices blend storytelling, cultural references, and material experimentation. Their work explores the relationship between tradition, emotion, and contemporary fashion through embroidery, texture, silhouette development, and craftsmanship. Together, they create designs that reimagine cultural heritage through modern aesthetics while preserving meaningful narratives and symbolism.

Inspiration Behind the Design

"Jiyue" is inspired by auspicious cloud motifs found in traditional Chinese culture. Through exaggerated circular forms, flowing skirt structures, cloud embroidery, and cascading beadwork, the design evokes the ethereal beauty of the Moon Palace. The rabbit symbolises serenity, grace, and cultural heritage, while the interplay of movement and ornamentation creates a dreamlike interpretation of traditional symbolism.
